It’s sometimes hard to believe that beyond that wall is the rest of the world. This little corner of La Jolla, CA, which is known as the Children’s Pool but is really the seal pool, is often mired in controversy, but it’s one of the most naturally beautiful areas on the San Diego coast.
Having grown up on the east coast and spending summers by the grey, imposing Atlantic Ocean, the colors of the Pacific always amaze me, not to mention its size and power and its ability to confound weather forecasters just about every day. I feel drawn to the ocean, or my little slice of it in Coronado, the San Diego Bay.
