I’m fascinated by these lifeguard stations that dot the Southern California beaches. They remind me so much of the lunar landing module from NASA’s moon missions, but they also seem kind of like lonely sentinels. This one is in La Jolla, a place I visit far too infrequently. I have to go back soon for a long walk on the cliffs near the beach.
