Every once in a while, I make the trek down to the beach behind the Hotel del Coronado, just to make sure the Pacific Ocean is still there. Some days it’s bright and sunny, like this one, with crystal-clear blue skies and plenty of people out enjoying the beach … other days it’s moody AF with clouds, wind, and high surf (those are the days I don’t usually go). And as we approach the tourist high season (or as I prefer to call it, “High Tourist” season, because they all seem as annoying as if they were all high), I’ll probably stay away for a bit, since the beach will be crowded. But some days it’s just a nice addition to my walks.
