The bookstore town of Hay-On-Wye will always have a fond spot in my heart. From the moment I first heard of the existence of such a thing as a “bookstore town,” I wanted to visit. I’m so glad I took the time to visit this quaint, beautiful spot on the England/Wales border. I normally prefer big cities to visit in my travels, but this charming village, with its 20 or so bookstores, made me a convert to a quieter pace and and a calmer style of living. I love the gentle sweep of these houses in the photo above. I can’t wait to go back.
