Gary Sassaman is the former Director of Programming and Print and Digital Media for Comic-Con International in San Diego, CA. He is the creator of the fondly-remembered (by him, at least) 1990s comic book series Innocent Bystander and of Tales From My Spinner Rack!, which appears in posts on this blog, in videos on YouTube, and with presentations at various conventions, including San Diego Comic-Con and WonderCon. He was awarded Comic-Con’s Inkpot Award in 2017 for Fandom Services and considers himself to be a comic book connoisseur, Anglophille, bibliophile, and cinephile.
