Tales From My Spinner Rack! Episode 29 Now Available …

On March 30, 1939, a new hero greeted comic book fans on their local spinner racks. “The Bat-Man” swooped onto the cover of Detective Comics 27, nabbing a criminal in the act. Welcome to Tales From My Spinner Rack Episode 29: “My Favorite Batman Artists, From Bob Kane to Jim Lee!”

In honor of Batman’s 87th birthday, I’m taking a look back at the Caped Crusader’s history with an overview of some of the character’s best artists (in my humble opinion), plus ones that were fan favorites. We start with Bob Kane and his collaborator, Bill Finger, the writer most instrumental in making Batman the iconic hero we know and love, and trace the Dark Knight’s artistic heritage through to the modern day with examples of numerous artists associated with the character. Remember: This is my list of my favorite Bat-artists. I will undoubtedly miss a few of your faves, so please leave a comment over on YouTube and tell me who they are.
