The Marvel Annuals continued throughout the rest of the 1960s, shrinking in size the last few years to 64 pages. But oh, those pages! The Annuals of 1967 and ‘68 were “ALL-NEW! NOT A SINGLE REPRINT!” as the covers’ corner boxes proclaimed. And while some of them were duds, there are a few absolute classics here, but the important thing is this, especially to a pre-teen in the swingin’ sixties: This was an EXTRA giant-sized book for some of your favorite titles each and every summer, making that season the absolute best (in addition to no school, duh!).
