We’re back—or we will be—next week with a brand new Tales From My Spinner Rack! video on YouTube featuring the re-creation of my sold-out (no fee was charged), standing-room-only (there were plenty of seats) Comic-Con 2023 panel presentation, featuring the wild and wonky comic book adventures of Superman’s Pal Jimmy Olsen and Superman’s Girl Friend Lois Lane in a little ditty I like to call, “Jimmy and Lois: Still Crazy After All These Years!”

Learn all about how the incredible popularity of the Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane characters on the Adventures of Superman TV series (played respectively by Jack Larson and Noel Neill) spurned DC Comics to introduce two new superhero books—both featuring Superman, of course—during the 1950s, when just about nobody was publishing those types of books. Marvel (pun intended) at how DC came up with a plan to make their books stand out on the crowded Batman TV show-era newsstands with an abysmal marketing plan called “Go-Go Checks!” See how both the Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane comics series showcased some of the silliest stories ever, with a special emphasis on “The Wolf-Man of Metropolis!” and “The Monster Who Loved Lois Lane!” You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll bust a gut when you watch this one, but don’t send me the doctor bill, because I won’t be held responsible.

Join me, won’t you, on Wednesday, October 25th, over on the Official Tales From My Spinner Rack YouTube Channel for Episode 03: “Jimmy and Lois: Still Crazy After All These Years!”
Jeepers, Mr. Kent, it’s a doozy!
