As we head into summer, it’s time for a new banner image and this time we bring the heat, or at least the illusion of it. To be honest, this photo was taken back in January of this year, when all the right atmospheric conditions combined to reveal this spectacular sunset. This photo also reminds me of the desert, even though I’ve never been … I keep thinking I’ll end up in some spectacular Mad Max road rage incident and end up a sun-bleached skull by the side of the road with a rattlesnake crawling out of my weathered eye socket (yes, I watch too many movies). San Diego is basically a desert community … we just happen to be on the better side of the mountains with an ocean next door. Location, location, location.
