I spent a relaxing 5 days in late July exploring one of my favorite cities, Seattle, Washington. I’m pretty much a creature of habit when I travel, so while I tend to add a new city every now and again to my “portfolio,” I also tend to visit a lot of the same things in each city. But this time I got out into a couple of new areas of this great city, including the University of Washington area.
Here are 33 photos from that trip, including one of my favorite spots in all the cities I visit, Pike Place Market. I’m not sure what exactly tugs my heart strings of this old, rambling institution (and decided tourist trap … don’t even try and go there on a Saturday afternoon), but it always calls me back, and I usually make multiple trips to it. I also visited the Space Needle and the EMP Museum at Seattle Center (more on that in Part 2), Capitol Hill (which is the home to my favorite Seattle bookstore, Elliott Bay Book Company), and Pioneer Square.
Part 2 is coming soon!
